Nothing much to say about his design, other than I've finally got me some killer green eyeshadow.

Arabic inspired

Arabic makeup is really pretty. Or the arab women with the makeup are pretty. Either way, the combination is gorgeous.

So I decided to try my hand at my own arabic-inspired eye makeup, and here is the result.
Instead of the green and yellow in the picture above, I decided to go with more of a purple color:
Ta-da!

I wish I knew where my eye pencil sharpener was...
But anyway, merry Christmas!

I've been slacking.

But who cares.

I dyed my hair dark brunette again. I like this color much better than the dark blonde that I naturally have.

I looked for a picture to post, but I don't have any. Maybe one day this break I'll come up with something interesting to share.

Until then, goo goo ga-joob.

Look Out!

This Saturday is Homecoming, so I will be updating this (hopefully) with plenty of pictures; dress, hair, makeup, and who knows what else!

I look forward to posting soon. :)

Good

Afternoon!

I almost said good morning... I had somewhat of a late start.

So I did a blue shiny look today, just trying out what I might do for this years homecoming. Even though it's themed Candyland, nobody really follows it anyway... except for maybe a few brave freshman.

I like to eat spicy foods to boost my metabolism and clear my sinuses. Ramen noodles are great with added red pepper.

Whew!

It really has been a while. Hope everybody has had a great summer :)

Here's a green look for today (trust me its green) and hopefully one day I will learn how to use my camera properly in terms of catching the color.

I'm smiling in the top picture, just to get a better shape in my eyes :)

Prom Night @.@

Just got back from the prom rendezvous. It was a lot of fun, took a TON of pictures, and got a pretty sweet caddy limo ride to the event. For dinner, we went to Sakura's. The whole night was great.

Anyway, here is an eyeshadow look requested by my Auntie. Its just a purple look, with white to brighten the eyes instead of the black that I always like to use.

Happy Mother's Day!

To all those lovely mothers out there!

Here is my second choice for a prom look, same as the last but with silver eyeshadow instead of gold. The silver will match my shoes, and its much more sparkly.

Today I decided to last minute dye my hair. I am now, a brunette. I look more like my mother now; coincidentally, since it is mother's day :P

And here's the dress!

Alas! My prom dress! I had to order it from another Macy's because they didn't have my size at the local one. But this dress is a strawberry red, strapless a-line with plenty of tulle underneath the skirt itself. Hopefully there won't be any wardrobe malfunctions for ANYONE at this event xD

-Linds

Prom makeup?

I might do this for prom. Or maybe a silver version of it, just to be more sparkly and match my shoes. My dress is red, SO pretty! I absolutely love it! I'll be sure to post it on the next post ^.^
Anyway, here's a gold formal look that I did earlier today. Enjoy :)

Remember When it Rained?

Oh, how I love Josh Groban. Such an amazing singer.

Spring Break starts tomorrow, and so far my only plan is theater rehearsal on Wednesday. Joy.
However, here's something to look at; colorful eyeshadow. I did it for no reason at all, just out of sheer boredom. I hope it temporarily relieves you of yours!

Festival today

Today I am going to the AACPS Middle school Chorus Festival today as an accompanist for the OMMN Chorus.

And this is the eyeshadow look I'm going with! Its a very light smokey eye with a hint of shimmer on the lid. Basically a shimmery smokey eye. I added a picture of the eye closed, hopefully you can tell what I mean when I say 'hint of shimmer' (the lighter portion right above the lash line is actually a tiny bit glittery if the camera hasn't picked it up very well).

I also would like to add one thing: If your eye shape seems to droop down at the outer corner, adding a thin small wing curving upward will help give the illusion that would get rid of the droopy problem. Hope this helps :)

Motorcycle Jacket

My grandmother bought me a motorcycle jacket from Wet Seal, and I absolutely love it. It looks so rebel rock, yet chic. In this picture I am wearing it with a diamond tunic and straight leg jeans.

The Wedding Singer

Last night I went to a theater production of The Wedding Singer at Annapolis High School. It was really fun, and I went with my friend Lola =D

Then afterwards we went to Ruby Tuesdays, and I had a delicious Avocado Turkey Burger. Yum.

Heres another eyeshadow thing to post on here. Nothing much to say about it, other than I used the silver eyeshadow for part of it again. The color didn't turn out very well on the camera, didn't it?

Mod Retro Indie

Okay, so I was looking at LOLCat photos online when I came across this ad for website that sells indie fashion. I clicked the link, curious as I was, and lo and behold this website has AWESOME clothes!!!

So while surrealism is my favorite type of art, indie is my favorite type of fashion. It goes against the norm of society and can be individually expressed.

Ah, Sunday.

Heres another one: a smokey eye with a hint of color. Purple.

Nothing much got done today, I drove my dad out to get his hair cut. Also went to Caribou coffee, and had an amazing dark chocolate mocha. I don't think Starbucks has a dark chocolate mocha...

Oh, and I never did my nails. I suppose there is time to do them this evening, but that all depends on motivation and inspiration. And whether or not my homework gets finished in time.

Have a nice week, it starts tomorrow! No more late mornings for me.

I kind of got a wee bit bored just now...

And here is the result.

I'm not even sure what to call this, its very colorful; I used aqua, purple, pink, and yellow with black eyeliner. I initially started out with the goal of achieving a look that illustrates a unique technique of eyeliner, and this is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy, this was a fun design to create!

Also, I'm thinking about doing my nails later today. If that happens, I'll post a picture of what they turn out to be; however, I have no ideas yet. Stay tuned ;)

Second post today :)

Here's another eyeshadow design, as promised!

I wore this last evening to a performance in which I accompanied a few singers, and I like how the aqua turquoise matched the blue abalone detailing of my guitar. This was another eyeshadow that I had bought during my last endeavor to Target; Maybelline duo palette in Sea Glass. Then I used my light brown mineral shadow to create the depth in my eye, and black liner with a slight winged corner.

I took this picture before I put mascara on, and didn't realize it until later. For mascara I use CoverGirl Exact Eyelights for brown eyes.

Good morning!

During my day off due to snow (surprise, surprise) I went to Target and picked up a really neat eyeshadow palette of two colors; silver and black. So I used these to make a 3D smokey eye look! Voila!

I like the pigmentation of this product. I used HIP by Loreal Paris, metallic duo. I read on the container that HIP stands for High Intensity Pigments, and I would have to say that this is a correct label. Yay for Correct labels!

Later I will be posting another blog about another eyeshadow with yet another product. Sorry for the lack of continuous updating. Until then, have a nice weekend!

No School Tomorrow?

That better be the case.

I woke up late today... like at 12:30. And yes, that is late. However, nothing much else will be getting done since I can't really go anywhere.

But while I'm inside, there are a few things I can do. Today I created this pink eyeshadow look, and though it seems like a hot pink I actually used a lavender eyeshadow base and layered a medium pink on top of it. Badda Boom, Badda Bing! HOT PINK. And then black eyeliner with purple outer corners for the whole 3-D effect.

Have a FABULOUS day!

Blizzard!

And I don't mean the delicious kind from Dairy Queen.

I finally got around to doing my toenails, and figured I'd update my fingernails too. And since I've been quite dramatic on the nails, going from chrome to ladybugs- I figured I would pain them nude pink. Then I got a little bored. So what happened next? I added a small detail, a white flower with gold buds at each thumb and ring finger :D

The look is still subtle, and keeps my nails looking nice and polished. I also did some exfoliating and lotioning beforehand (no pun intended) to get rid of dead and dry skin. Winter tends to dry my skin out.

Don't get caught in the snow, if you are on the side of America where snow is blatantly apparent and... well, everywhere. If not, them don't hesitate to take some, there is PLENTY!

Default look

What is my default look? When I can't think of anything creative, or just don't feel like thinking of anything creative, this is my default look. I use different shades of brown to go for just a natural and neutral look that goes with any outfit or style.

-Linds

Now for Clothes?

I figured it would be interesting to add a little spice to this blog. The result? My outfit for a gig at a local bar called The Whiskey!

I wore a jewel tone blue tunic from Rave with a black lace camisole that I got from Limited, and a charcoal grey vest with blue pinstripes that I had borrowed from my sister. As for the lower half, I believe I wore khaki shorts; however, anything could work, from skinny jeans to flare jeans and maybe even a denim mini :D

My hair is in its natural wave (see the below post about how I style my waves) and pinned up at the top. I used a straightener for my bangs.

The jewelry I used is a cheap necklace that I got from Claire's, and studs for earrings. Don't be afraid to get creative with jewelry, especially if you tend to have a long neck like mine; or at least my grandfather told me I had a long neck. He's silly like that. Love you grandpa!

More snow...

So last time I posted, I said that school had a 2 hour delay, right?

Well, now we have the whole day off. More snow came in, and I guess our county doesn't know how to handle a few inches of it.

Anyway, todays featured eyeshadow is going to be a brown and black smokey eye. I like the dark, grunge look it had going on. This is definitely one of the techniques I'll try when I play a gig in my band Purple Everywhere.

Well, time to go drink my weight in coffee. I can never get enough of this stuff.

2 Hour delayed opening

School is delayed two hours today, so I thought I'd use some of the extra time to post another blog! :D

Today I have sort of a silvery eye shadow with dark inner and outer corners; I used black eyeliner and dark blue with the silverish eye shadow. Its a very nice cool look, almost perfect for the snow we have outside.

I should really start to finish getting ready for school now. It's odd how I always end up running late even when I have an extra two hours to get ready!

My favorite hair product

I'm a huge fan of Purity Design modeling wax by IT&LY! It has never failed me. There is a natural wave to my hair, and when I apply this wax it easily enhances the curl and leaves my hair smelling like I just got out of the salon! Here's a bonus; unlike some waxes that make your hair stiff or rough, Purity Design leaves your hair extremely soft and fluffy!

So there's my take on this product. I hope this inspires or helps those of you with the difficult hair type that I have! :)

Purple!

Ah, the snow has stopped. I don't like the cold.

Today I am wearing a purple smokey eye makeup. I kinda like it, the purple is interesting. Not to mention it is part of the name of my band; Purple Everywhere! :D

Nothing much to do today, though I do hope to get to bed by 9 tonight. It probably won't happen, but I suppose its good to have goals every now and then. Hmm, I wonder what chores would be good to do around the house...

So my dog snores at night. And it shakes the house. Random fact of the day? I think so :)

Ladybugs

Darn snow. I'm not a big fan of shoveling snow.

Anyways, I changed the paint on my nails today! They are ladybugs, and I thought they were cute enough to post on here.

But that's all, nothing much got done since my last post.

-Linds

I'm back! =o

Hey! Sorry its been a while since I've last posted. I have no excuse for such laziness.

However, I do have a NEW CAMERA! So the quality of my pictures posted should be about 1,000x better. Yays.

This picture is my attempt at a Blue Smokey eye-- definite good look for brown eyes, as it brings out the rich chocolate color of those beauties!

Last night I was performing in my high school's Steel Drum Band at the MSP Polar Bear Plunge. I had a blast, the atmosphere was great and I was so relieved to find that we weren't performing outside! Instead, we were in a giant heated tent. I got a free Red Bull and a Java Monster energy drink; first time I've had it, and it is ultimately my favorite Monster flavor out there. Dee-licious!

And I love Christopher. Want to know who he is? Shoot me a message ;)

Ah, I believe its time for ramen noodles. My stove top awaits me.
